USCGC IBIS (U.S. Coast Guard)
The USCGC IBIS (WPC-1102) is a Sentinel-class cutter operated by the United States Coast Guard (USCG). This vessel, which stands for Integrated Bridge and Navigation System, is one of the 58 planned Sentinel-class fast response cutters. Designed to enhance the USCG’s ability to secure and protect the maritime borders of the U.S., the IBIS carries advanced technology such as improved command, control, communication, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems. The vessel is 154 feet long with a beam of 25 feet and is capable of speeds up to 28 knots. It is primarily used for law enforcement duties, search and rescue missions, and national defense.
